Director of Training
Job Description
DIRECTOR OF TRAINING
Latitude is a globally ranked legal talent company. We directly employ former Am Law, elite-boutique, and in-house attorneys and place them with legal departments and law firms across the U.S. With more than 7,000 attorneys in our talent pool and clients ranging from the Fortune Global 500 to high-growth companies and nonprofits, we are growing, and we are hiring a Director of Training to help our people grow with us.
THIS ROLE
As Director of Training, you will own the training for both sides of our business: our partners, who lead sales and client relationships in each market, and our recruiters, who find and place attorneys. This is a hands-on role. You will oversee the training behind how Latitude works, from sales through fulfillment to client and candidate management.
Much of the foundation is already in place. Your job is to learn our process in depth, gather input from across the business, and turn it into clear, practical training and an internal playbook our teams rely on.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Recruiter training. Design and deliver onboarding for every new recruiter, then ongoing skills training as the role evolves.
- New-partner training. Build and refine the first-year curriculum for new partners, including what they learn, in what order, and how we support their progress.
- Full-cycle content. Develop training on sales, fulfillment, and client and candidate management, at the level of detail each role needs.
- Internal playbook. Expand the enablement content in our internal playbook and keep the training-related information current.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YEAR ONE
- The transition to your programs is smooth for recruiters and new partners, building on what runs today.
- You have documented our full cycle, including what partners and recruiters do at each step.
- The new-partner curriculum is ready for the 2027 cohort.
- You have built or refreshed the enablement content in our internal playbook, and it has become a go-to resource for our teams.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Significant experience building training or enablement programs for recruiting, staffing, sales, or professional services teams, ideally where you mastered the operational detail of the roles you trained.
- Experience working with lawyers (for example, law firm training) or a staffing background, especially in legal flexible talent. No law degree required.
- Strong working knowledge of Claude or similar AI tools, which you use daily to research, draft, and update content.
- Comfort working closely with leadership, partners, and recruiting team members, and turning feedback into polished content.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Credibility with senior stakeholders, including experienced attorneys.
REPORTING AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: the President. You will also work directly with the CEO, who is the primary decision maker on training content.
- Works closely with: market partners and their recruiting teams, and the Recruiting Operations Manager.
POSITION DETAILS
- Type of role: Permanent
- Schedule: Full-time
- Location: Remote in the U.S., with periodic travel to markets and company gatherings.
COMPENSATION
Pay: Compensation consists of a base salary plus bonus. The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 annually with potential for a bonus of up to 15% of base salary, so there is potential for "all-in" compensation of $115,000 to $149,500. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and your location.
Benefits: Latitude employees are eligible for full benefits including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD, and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401(k) plan is also available. For eligible employees, there is a CLE and Professional Expense stipend of up to $1,000 per year.
NEXT STEPS
Candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted.
